Norman Hardie Winery - Join Us on June 23rd – Fundraising Dinner with Norm’s Favourite Chef
Dear ,
Please join us on Sunday, June 23rd for a very special fundraising dinner. Norm’s great friend and favourite chef Xavier Deshayes will be here to cook alongside him for a delicious, elegant meal. All proceeds will go towards completing our ongoing Tawineyi Primary School building project, in collaboration with stone sculptor Chaka Chikodzi.
Norm is a firm believer in the importance of supporting education. Having spent much of his life in Africa, he is committed to helping build this school in Chaka’s home village. He truly believes that education is the best gift a child can receive.
Nelson Mandela said it best –
"Education is the most powerful weapon which
you can use to change the world.”
The evening will start with Norm hosting a tasting of library wines from his favourite past vintages. To snack on while tasting we will serve the freshest PEI oysters, house-cured trout, boerewors (South African farmers sausage) braiid/barbecued over the fire, and biltong (South Africa’s much nicer version of beef jerky).
Chaka Chikodzi, whose gorgeous work adorns the property and who has spearheaded this project in his home village in Zimbabwe, will give a tour of the sculpture garden and a brief presentation about the school.
Dinner will follow with wines specially chosen by Norm for the evening. Norm and Xavier will cook/collaborate/smile/laugh and put together a tremendous simple delicious meal for all the wonderful people who choose to come and support this initiative.
Norm will be absorbing 100% of the costs of the evening (wine, labour, food) so that all the proceeds go towards completing the school. We are asking for a minimum donation of $200 per person to the Tawineyi School Foundation, which you can send by clicking here. Please ensure that you add “For the Tawineyi School Foundation” to the notes of your donation, and then email joey@normanhardie.com to confirm your phone number and how many guests are in your party. A charitable donation tax receipt will automatically be generated for you. If you are in a position to donate more for your seat, we encourage you to do so.
We are limiting the evening to 60 guests. The evening will begin at 5:30pm sharp and wrap up by 9pm (before the mosquitos descend). Dinner will be served al fresco overlooking the sculpture garden, with indoor seating available in the case of rain. We truly hope you can join us for this magical and important evening.
Read on to hear more about Norm and Xavier’s history and to see a great picture of both of them from 30 years ago.
Cheers,
Norm
Norm and Xavier met at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills when Xavier was working for Michelle Richard. Norm convinced Xavier to come to Toronto and be the chef at Truffles at the Four Seasons Toronto, a post he held from 1993-1996. At the time Truffles was the only 5-diamond restaurant in Canada. In October 1996 Norm came to Oregon for harvest, and Xavier moved to the U.S.. For 10 years he was Executive Chef for the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, DC, cooking for U.S. Presidents and world leaders. Norm and Xavier have remained great friends to this day.

PICCOLINA ITALIAN MERCATO & BAR - We are now closed!
Difficult life decisions are hard to sum up in a quaint sentence or two. A simple uncomplicated explanation rarely feels right coming from me and in this case its neither practical or bearable. I am writing this in the way I would say it in person.
After months of arduous contemplation, personal scrutiny and a clear economic reality - my ability to successfully continue operating Piccolina Mercato & Bar in Wellington is no longer possible - I will have to close.
This is tremendously disappointing for me. After 10+ years of work in Wellington - from starting the baking program at the beloved Tall Poppy to my little food cart on the corner, then Enid Grace Cafe and my love letter to Italy with Piccolina - I have been honoured to be a member of the Village and am proud of the effort myself and my team have given all these years.
I love Wellington and I assure you although this chapter is closing, I am not leaving. I am staying close by - in Hillier - and will work towards something new for the community. Something more sustainable and balanced but still very much Enid Grace. https://www.enidgrace.com/
This past year has been strenuous. Economically it has been exceptionally difficult. The rising cost of everything from food ingredients, rent, paper products and shipping has been depleting. I had an early mission to ensure that the experience of Piccolina was accessible for everyone. I value my community first and wanted this very unique business to feel like a home for those that live here and support the Village year round. I wanted the experience to be affordable and approachable, not exclusive. I also wanted our visiting guests to be smitten with a unique business that reinforced that visiting Wellington and Hillier was indeed special - for myriad reasons. Making the economics work in this current climate would require two major changes: raising our prices even more and sacrificing our quality - both in product and service. Doing both would completely change the experience of Piccolina - it would no longer be what you have come to appreciate.
My incredible kitchen team and I make everything by hand - every day. It is a lot of labour. My brilliant service team prides itself on taking care of you and giving you the ideal Italian service - this is special.
I believe my team deserve to be paid well above minimum wage - and they are, because their efforts should be acknowledged and respected with each paycheque. My wish would be to pay them even more - but it’s not possible now.
I don’t want to have to start cutting corners or staff. Diminishing the caliber of our products, our consistency or the standards of our service is not a solution. The quality of our ingredients matter and the effort and skill that goes into making each pastry, bread, meatball, tiramisu and espresso matters. The exceptional increases in all costs has made continuing on with a small business with our approach economically impossible - the numbers no longer work without severe cuts to all of the above. If reputation is built and sustained on what your clients and community have come to depend on, then anything short of that is unacceptable. Furthermore, supporting my community with donations and fundraising efforts has been so important and I gave as much as I could each year - it was always a budget line. But this year we could only give half as much and that was heartbreaking.
Unfortunately despite the privilege I have experienced with a loyal and hard working staff - some of whom have been with me for 7+ years - the local labour market has added more impediments to maintaining a small business here. Simply, there are just not enough people available, willing or interested in working in this industry - regardless of the workplace culture or benefits. Adding to the difficulty is the lack of affordable housing for potential workers. Most of my current staff drive from outside the County. Several on my team are ready to pursue other options and others are moving away to places with more affordable living options. Each person lost is an intense blow to my business, both personally and practically - I can’t operate without staff.
My team is an absolute wonder - this includes current and former. I get very emotional when I think of the loyalty and work ethic from the women (and a couple fellas) that have stood by me, believed in me and found joy in their workday. I consider it a privilege to have worked with them all. Even when they move on, most stay a part of our family - its pretty rare to have former staff members adjust their schedules to help you out in a pinch - I have had that blessing more than once. So much of the gratification of running a business is the team. I assure you the responsibility, commitment and unrelenting stress of being a solo owner/operator without a business or financial parter is enormous - but having a team that lifts you each day, makes you smile when they walk in the door each morning is the antidote.
Being grateful alone does not nearly express my feelings for them all. I am lucky without doubt. I have watched 14 year old shy girls become brilliant confident young women who head off to college or new adventures with a sense of worth and ambition - I feel lucky to have played even the most minuscule part in that. The women who made career changes and joined me for a new experience; they found not only new skills but also support, friendship and compassion from the others around the kitchen table and behind the bar - again I feel so lucky to have been a part of that.
This community and our guests - the people we see each day and those only when in town - I am beyond appreciative for you support and enthusiasm. You kindness to me and my team is noted daily. Your messages, notes and reviews expressing your fondness for Piccolina have made the difficult days more bearable. We are always particularly grateful to those that engage us personally in the shop - we hope you have felt how happy your comments make us feel. It is my hope that I have been a good business steward for Wellington and that we as a team have contributed in a positive way to you and this community.
Prior to my mum’s passing this Spring, I sat with her in the hospital each day talking, asking her questions - fully aware of the limited time I had left with her. I wanted to tell her everything I still had left to accomplish - what I wanted my life to be after she was gone. I wanted her to continue to be proud of what I was doing - in whatever small way I was doing it. She couldn’t communicate much but she listened intently. The little bit she could communicate was this - “you have worked so hard for many years, harder than was needed at times. I am very proud of you but what would make me happier is if you would take better care of yourself - poor health will catch up and you may lose the chance to accomplish more.”
Running a business is hard - many of you will know this. The long hours, the stress, the limited amount of rest both physically and mentally does take a toll. My health has suffered and what I absolutely know for sure is that even if you have the support of staff, it is 100% your business and if you are not healthy your business will suffer. I am not 100% - and I need be. This past year has had a dramatic impact and much like the economic knock being critical component in this decision, so is my health. For everyone in my life that I love and for the plans I have for my business moving forward I need to take care - this is a priority and a necessity. Listen to your mum.
Although this is sad there is always optimism to be found. The space I have created on Main Street is lovely - a lot of work went into it and its ideal in many ways. A new business will bring their creative vision to life and have a positive impact on the community. Wellington is beautiful, the people are wonderful and Main Street needs to be protected with local business. If you are interested in information about the space please reach out via email - hello@enidgrace.com
I know there will be many questions and I will do my best to answer them, although at this time some details just can’t addressed. What I know for sure:
I am not leaving Prince Edward County.
I will continue to be an entrepreneur in this community (stay tuned - there will still be an Enid Grace).
I am disappointed and sad, but more so proud for what I have accomplished despite the set backs.
I am grateful, wholeheartedly, to you all.

2022 Pét Nat - Red
Our Red Pet Nat is back and it’s a wine we have grown to adore. I mean, who doesn’t love red bubbles, especially when farmed and raised with impeccable pedigree? Comprised of 25% Baco Noir, 15% Cabernet Franc — both organically farmed (but not certified) on our Estate Vineyard in PEC and 57% Riesling from the Hughes Vineyard in Niagara — the first Ontario grower to be certified sustainable.
The reds were fermented with wild non-select yeasts via partial carbonic maceration for juicy, bright fruit flavours. As in the last several vintages, Riesling is added for acidity and to balance the earthiness of the reds beautifully. Bottled mid-ferment. Absolutely no adds and not disgorged — exactly as Pet Nat should be!
Wild-Ferment. Unfiltered. Unsulphured. Serve chilled.
“Luscious aromas of red licorice, strawberry, ripe raspberry and dried violets. The palate sings silky, bright notes of red cherry, ruby grapefruit, rhubarb and tomato leaf wrapped in high voltage acidity. Fine tannin. Something new in every sip!
Long finish.

Norman Hardie Winery - News
Great Reviews from Jancis Robinson, 2021/22 Harvest Update
Dear ,
As winter sets in, our 2021/22 wines are now aging gracefully on their fine lees. Over the years I have learned not to hurry the aging process of the wines and that patience is the most important virtue one can have as a winemaker. I’ve been tasting the 2021 Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs regularly, and they are both likely to come out of barrel sometime between April and June. The Chardonnays are looking fresh as daisies, still sulphur free 14 months after being harvested. Both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are simply going to be a joy to bottle.
My trip to Singapore was incredibly fruitful, the sommeliers and wine buyers were very impressed with the quality of the wines. We also received some wonderful reviews that Premier Cru and Grand Cru Burgundy producers would die for, from renowned wine critic Richard Hemming MW of JancisRobinson.com. Our 2020 Calcaire, 2017 John Bil Cuvée, 2020 Cabernet Franc Whole Cluster, and 2020 County Pinot Noir Jane & Oliver’s Block are all available to buy now at the winery or through our online store. Our 2020 County Pinot Noir and 2020 County Chardonnay will be released later this year.
Last week I spent three days in Amsterdam showcasing our wines at the most important tasting event in the Benelux. The reaction to the wines was similar to the amazing response we had in Singapore. The Dutch, who are known for expressing their opinions in a direct straightforward way, remarked these wines remind them of the Old World but at a fraction of the price.
I will be spending a lot of time in the cellar this winter analyzing and evaluating last year’s harvest and getting the 2021 wines ready for bottle. The team and I are also spending time together to find ways of improving all aspects of the business for the 2023 season. In order to move forward, it is important to change and seek improvement. The goal is to get better and better every year.
Our wines are now served in over 25 Michelin Star restaurants across Europe. While we are excited to see our wines get recognized by these great tables/sommeliers, we are equally thrilled to see our Ontario wines served and enjoyed locally here at home in Canada. Thank you for your continued support.

Winter Food Program
We look forward to seeing you in beautiful Prince Edward County this winter. We are offering our delicious, soul warming winter food program daily with no reservations required. Our winter menu includes house cold-smoked Ontario trout, piping hot lasagnas, classic French Onion soup and the East Coast’s freshest oysters. We have indoor seating amongst the tanks and barrels, or outdoors next to roaring fire pits with blankets on-hand.
Wine Varietals grown in Prince Edward County
A varietal is a wine that is labeled as being made from one grape variety. New World wines are generally labeled by varietal, whereas Old World wines are labeled by region (i.e. Bordeaux wine refers to a wine made in the Bordeaux region of France. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are two varietals grown in Bordeaux).
Primary Red Varieties
Red | Made from dark-colored grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, among others. Red wines tend to be fuller in body, are often oak aged and have delicious berry or fruit flavours. Ontario’s cool climate styles are the perfect complement with food but be sure to match the weight of the wine with the richness of the food for the ultimate pairing.
Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the world-famous grape from Burgundy and more recently California and the Pacific Northwest. A light to medium-body wine pegged as one of the most difficult to grow and make. Delicate and smooth with rich complexity, Pinot Noir is a versatile dinner companion.
VQA Pinot Noir
The great red grape of Burgundy has a natural home in Ontario. Made in a classic cool climate style, VQA Pinot Noir renders wines with cherry fruit, earthy/forest floor character, and oak spice flavours. They are paler in colour, light to medium-bodied and become silky smooth with a bit of age.
Cabernet Franc
VQA CABERNET FRANC
The aristocratic parent of Cabernet Sauvignon is the soul of Ontario’s reds. This winter-hardy grape is one of the Bordeaux varieties, often blended with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon both in its homeland and here in Ontario. Alone it shows red currant, raspberry, herbal and tobacco characters, with oak aging adding toasty, chocolaty complexity. It is made in easy-drinking unoaked styles, more structured cellar-worthy versions and, as Ontario has discovered, it can also make great VQA Icewine.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine known for its depth of flavor, aroma, and ability to age due to the wine’s noticeable tannins. It is full-bodied and intense, with cherry, currant, and sometimes herbal or tobacco flavors.
Gamay
Described by some as the “next big thing”, VQA Gamay Noir is gaining popularity with wine lovers. This light to medium-bodied red is also used in many rosé wines, but in either case Ontario VQA Gamay is fruity, floral and earthy. The bright acidity keeps them easy drinking and flavourful.
Primary White Varieties
White | Ontario’s cool climate and limestone-rich soils produce a wide variety of fresh, delicious white wines with crisp acidity that makes them incredibly food-friendly. Chardonnay and Riesling are Ontario’s two signature varieties along with other specialties such as Pinot Gris
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is a white wine originating from Burgundy. Flavors range from clean and crisp with a hint of varietal flavor to rich and complex, vanilla, butter and oak-aged wines. Chardonnay typically balances fruit, acidity and texture.
Gewurztraminer
Gewürztraminer is a white German wine that produced distinctive wines rich in spicy aromas and full flavors, ranging from dry to sweet.
Pinot Gris( pinot grigio)
The low acidity of this white grape helps produce rich, lightly perfumed wines that are often more colorful than other whites. VQA Pinot Grigio (or Pinot Gris) is a dry, light-bodied wine with high acidity and refreshing citrus, green apple and stone fruit flavours.
Riesling
Riesling is the classic white wine grape from Germany and known for its floral perfume. Depending on where they're made, they can be crisp and bone-dry, full-bodied and spicy or luscious and sweet.

Fees
Camping Fees - 2023
Fees effective from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024
Ontario Parks offers everything from tent and trailer camping in organized campgrounds to wilderness campsites accessible only by canoe. Fees for camping vary according to the facilities and services provided.
Ontario Parks has four levels of fees for car camping - AA, A, B and C. Each fee level reflects the popularity of a campsite and the availability of facilities.
When registering in person at the park you may use your debit card, cash, VISA or MasterCard credit cards to pay for your camping fees. Sorry, but personal cheques are not accepted for in-person payments. https://www.ontarioparks.com/fees/camping/2023Biking
With its flat terrain, Presqu’ile is well suited to cycling. There is a dedicated walking/bike lane beside the paved 8 km road loop that provides access to picnic grounds, the visitor centres and trails. An unpaved bicycle path connects the campgrounds with the paved loop, beach and Park Store.
Birding
As a major stopover for migrating birds and monarchs, Presqu’ile is renowned among birdwatchers as one of the premier birding locations in the province. At least 338 species of birds have been spotted within in the park and 130 species are known to nest here. March for waterfowl, May for songbirds and shorebirds and September for shorebirds are highlight months.
Boating
Both Presqu’ile Bay and Lake Ontario are accessible to boats. Please note that during waterbird nesting season you must remain a minimum of 200 m away from the two offshore islands (High Bluff and Gull). Nesting season occurs from March 10 to September 10 inclusive.
There is a municipally run boat launch 1 km east of the park entrance.
Canoeing
Presqu’ile Bay and marsh are sheltered enough to allow canoe exploration. Canoes can be put in at the Camp Office viewing platform or at Calf Pasture picnic area. Canoeing in Lake Ontario is recommended only on the calmest days. Please note that during waterbird nesting season you must remain a minimum of 200 m away from the two offshore islands (High Bluff and Gull). Nesting season occurs from March 10 to September 10 inclusive.
Discovery Program
Daily slide talks, guided walks, campfire programs, and children’s programs are held in the summer. Guided walks, conducted bird walks and other nature activities are offered on weekends in the spring and fall.
Waterfowl Viewing Weekend in mid-March draws thousands of visitors to see thousands of ducks. Volunteer naturalists are on hand each day to operate telescopes, identify the different types of ducks and point out distinguishing field marks.
Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend occurs on the Victoria Day weekend, the traditional peak of spring bird migration. Bird walks, bird banding and evening programs introduce the elusive Whimbrel and the colourful warblers that pass through the park.
History Weekend, held on the Civic holiday weekend, is an opportunity to relive Presqu’ile’s storied past. Special events, such as old fashioned games, a musical social evening, a boat-building bee and regatta, a BBQ lunch social, history play and historical recreations occur throughout the weekend.
Monarchs and Migrants Weekend, held on Labour Day weekend, offers a chance to see and learn more about migrating Monarch Butterflies, songbirds and shore birds. Park naturalists and guest speakers offer slide talks, shorebird viewing, butterfly tagging demonstrations and special hikes.
Curriculum-based children’s educational programming is offered by Park Naturalists in the spring and fall for schools and other groups courtesy of the Friends of Presqu’ile. Go to the Friends website for more information and a registration form.
Fishing
The waters of both Presqu’ile Bay and Lake Ontario are accessible by boat for fishing in season. Land-based fishing can be enjoyed at the Calf Pasture Picnic Ground or just outside the park from the Municipality of Brighton’s “Government Dock”.
Hiking
Presqu’ile was made for walking; its flat terrain and views of Lake Ontario attract walkers all year. A favourite route for many is the paved one-way driving loop (Lighthouse Lane and Paxton Drive) around the peninsula. This road has a designated walking/bike lane and is plowed in the winter. This is still a road however and walkers are urged to be cautious, particularly in the busy summer months. For those wanting a more natural experience Presqu’ile has 12 km of traditional “off-road” trails. All trails are clearly marked with coloured plastic blazes and are cleared of deadfall on a regular basis.
Jobes’ Woods Trail – 1.0 km, 30 minutes, loop, easy
This trail winds through an area that was once part of a farm settled by Thomas and Ezekial Jobes in 1835. This part of their farm remained relatively undisturbed by settlement activity and today contains one of the oldest deciduous woodlots at Presqu’ile. The trail passes by towering old maples, vernal pools crossed by boardwalks, conifer plantations, and an old field which is filling in with ash trees after a century of use by the Jobes family. An interpretive guide introducing visitors to the ecology of the Jobes’ forest is available at the trailhead or can be downloaded in the maps tab.
Owen Point Trail – 1.6 km, 45 minutes, loop, easy(This trail is usually wet in spring.)
This trail offers excellent opportunities to see migrating shorebirds along the natural beach and distant views of the waterbird colonies on their island nesting grounds. The trail can be accessed from the south end of the beach or from the west end of High Bluff Campground. To avoid disturbing migrating birds, the natural beach is closed to foot traffic between ice-out and ice-in, but the trail provides a number of lookouts allowing views of the entire shore. In addition, pets are not allowed into any of the lookouts on this trail at any time, but can be taken on the loop. To protect the nesting waterbirds, access to Gull and High Bluff Islands is closed from March 10 to September 10 inclusive. Gull Island can usually be accessed by foot after September 10 from Lookout #5 of the Owen Point Trail.
An interpretive guide to the ecology of the point and the islands is available at the trailhead or can be downloaded in the maps tab.
Marsh Trail – 1.2 km, 30 minutes, loop, easy
This trail includes 800 m of boardwalk complete with two viewing towers and a teaching platform (great for picnics too!) that takes visitors into the marsh. Sixteen interpretive panels along the trail illustrate the story of the marsh and its inhabitants. The boardwalk portion of the trail is barrier-free.Pioneer and Newcastle Trails – 8.1 km, 3 hours, two interconnected loops, easy
These trails lead you through the forests, plantations and old fields found in the heart of the Presqu’ile peninsula. Along these trails you will encounter a diversity of plants and wildlife in the mature beech-maple forest, old fields and early succession forest which dominate this area of the park.
The Pioneer Trail is 3.8 km and marked by yellow plastic blazes. The Newcastle Trail is 4.3 km and is marked by orange plastic blazes. The trailhead for both trails is halfway along Lighthouse Lane, though there are a number of other access points along both trails. Both trails use park roadways for part of their length so be cautious of vehicles and monitor children running ahead on the trail.Lighthouse Foot Path – 300 m, 20 minutes, loop, easy
This loop connects the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre with the lighthouse itself. There are great views of Lake Ontario and Presqu’ile Bay, with waterfowl in winter and spring, and a cool breeze in summer. Interpretive panels illustrate the history of the area.Cemetery Trail – 300 m, 15 minutes, linear, easy
This path connects the cemetery interpretive panel at the Camp Office parking lot with the site of an abandoned pioneer cemetery. The site itself is marked with a commemorative granite boulder, though no other evidence remains.Hunting
A regulated waterfowl hunt takes place Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the marsh and offshore islands from the fourth Friday in September to the third Saturday in December. Hunting in this park is subject to the Ontario Hunting Regulations. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, contact the park or a Ministry of Natural Resources office.
Swimming
A long, safe, sandy beach is ideal for family swimming. Please remember that there are no lifeguards on duty at the beach so children must be supervised. No dogs are allowed on Sandy Beach an any time of the year.
Winter Activities
While camping may be closed for the snowy season, Presqu’ile Provincial Park is open for day use 365 days a year.
Winter Landscapes
Walk or drive to enjoy winter lakeshore vistas such as, Ice cliffs. In some years, ice volcanoes make for spectacular scenery.Bird Watching
Winter brings a new host of birds that spend the winter at Presqu’ile and are gone by summer. Over-wintering ducks — such as the spectacular Long-tailed Duck — are always present, and other species come and go all winter until the big migration flocks arrive in March. In addition, other birds such as Bald Eagles, Snow Buntings, and Snowy Owls are regularly seen. https://www.ontarioparks.com/park/presquile/activities

Stuart was a fantastic tour guide! We chose the all in package with 4 wineries and a cider house to finish (all fees included)! He even threw in a couple surprises that added the cherry on top to the day! Thanks again, Stuart. We will be back.

Stuart was a great tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, very patient. He brought us to all of the places we wanted to visit. After visiting them all, we had time left to see a couple more. Stuart knew where to take us based on the type of wines we liked.
We had a great time! Thank you, Stuart, for making it an enjoyable experience for us! I highly recommend PEC Custom Wine Tours!
We were 3 friends spending a long awaited weekend away in PEC. We had variable knowledge of the county so decided to book a private wine tour with Prince Edward County Custom Wine Tours - smartest decision ever.
Stuart was our guide and was in touch a couple of days before our tour to determine which wineries/distilleries we were interested in. He also provided insider tips about things to check out and where to eat. (He was so right about the fish tacos at La Condesa in Wellington!)
On the day of the tour Stuart picked us up on time in an immaculate vehicle well stocked with bottles of water and hand sanitizer. He drove us to the wineries we had selected and also suggested a couple of other stops that ended up being some of the highlights of our entire weekend! Pro tip - the lobster rolls at Lacey Estates are not to be missed! Also Stuart was thoughtful enough to provide some cinnamon rolls from The Wellington Bakery as a late morning snack - they were amazing and much appreciated after the first few boozy stops!
All and all we cannot recommend this experience enough - it was the best day!

We had a great tour with Stuart! The booking process was easy and he was was very responsive - and when we had to reschedule to a later date he was very accommodating, which I really, really appreciated.
Stuart picked us up at our hotel right on time and we spent a leisurely afternoon driving around to various wineries and restaurants in the county. He was very easy going, we never felt rushed. We will 100% book again with Stuart and will recommend him to our friends! Thanks so much Stuart!

We booked a custom wine tour with Stuart for our long awaited girls weekend and we were not disappointed. We asked for recommendations and were very pleased with the locations selected. As the day progressed we made requests and he was able to accommodate what we asked for, no issues. We ended up visiting 5 wineries, 1 brewery, and 1 distillery and overall had a lovely day! We would highly recommend PEC Custom Wine Tours and would book again if we go back.

We booked a tour for six of us and it was a great experience. Stuart clearly knows his wineries (and breweries and cideries). We asked to visit the smaller, more out-of-the-way wineries and he delivered. He was courteous, informative about wineries in the area, and had suggestions for ones we could visit on our own time. Would recommend booking with him (if he's not already booked up for the season.)
