Historic Barn Tour
Join us for a tour of the historic 1805 post and beam barn at Karlo Estates Winery, and learn about its history. Staff will point out the building methods, evolution of the barn, and architectural features. At the same time, enjoy a five-flight wine tasting with small food pairings as you explore each room. Farm artifacts, antique equipment, and furnishings will also be on display.
After the tour, retire to the cozy Wine Lounge, furnished with parlor antiques so you can step back into the 1800s to enjoy wine and snacks for purchase.
Karlo has become famous for its Tasting Experience held in and around the welcoming atmosphere of an 1805 barn.
For groups of 12 or less, tastings are $4 for a one-ounce pour. One tasting becomes FREE for each bottle of wine purchased.
When you come in for a tasting, plan to take home some bottles. We sell out of every one of our 21 different wines every year, so we do not sell our wines at the LCBO.
Wine by the glass is also available for you to enjoy in any of our tasting spaces or during a stroll through the vineyards to one of North America’s largest dry-stone bridges.
For food, we provide plant-based options. This includes dairy-free cheeses made from nuts like almonds, cashews or even hemp and plant-based charcuterie. Give it a try. You’ll be surprised at the diversity of flavours.
We appreciate it when you call ahead and make a reservation. Due to our increasing popularity, our tasting rooms are very busy. Booking a tasting ahead of time ensures your group has a space together and a server available. Your reservation is not complete until you receive a confirmation email from us. Please do not make a reservation by phone on Fridays or Saturdays as we will be in service.
For groups of 13 or more, please see our large group policy here.
