Snowshoeing In Prince Edward County

Sandbanks Provincial Park is open year-round!

With amazing hiking trails and flat beaches, it is the perfect place for a stroll in the winter. Guests are welcome to rent our snowshoes or sleds to take with them on the trails.

The County has a 49km Millennium Trail

One of the most popular trails in this area. Click here to go to their website to see further information, and this link shows a map to different starting points. Sandbanks Provincial Park also has many trails available for use! I've included their site here which shows the length of each trail, and a PDF map as well. I have attached that map to this email for your reference.

The Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area offers 20km of hiking trails.

We ask that you arrive at 11:30 am to get prepared and sized for your snowshoes. We will leave the tasting bar at noon and hike for approximately 1.5 hours with a warm-up stop at the sugar shack. We will be back at the tasting bar by 2pm to relax with a delicious glass of wine.

Sugarbush Estates Winery

When  the trail is open we rent snowshoes for 20$ and it includes a 3 flight wine tasting.  It takes about 45-60 minutes to snowshoe the trail.  Right now the trail is only open Saturdays, but if we have good conditions we will open Sundays. Folks can reserve a time to make sure we have snowshoes available.  They can also just so up but on busy days often all the pairs are out.

The Eddie Hotel & Farm, Prince Edward County

located on the Millenium Trail and sit on 80 acres of property, so lots to explore. We have snowshoes you can borrow and if you have cross-country skis the trail is 46 KMs!
